Are you busy?

It seems like people are becoming too busy lately. I always hear the phrase “I can’t do it/ can’t go because I’m busy”. This phrase may have come from your family, friends, classmates or co-workers. Or maybe it’s coming from you!

Here are ways to help you have time for yourself and others.

Plan minimal work every day

A lot of us do this: Do nothing today and do everything on the due date.

That, my friends, is a habit you need to fix.

Take the time to plan specific things that you should do today and make it a habit everyday.

But here’s the trick.

You should do minimal steps so that you won’t feel stressed when the due date is near. You can check out my Planning 101 to help you with planning.

Do the work

Of course, you just don’t write your plan down, you have to do it!

Make the effort to complete what you have planned that day. Remember, these are just minimal work, so it wouldn’t take that long to accomplish.

Have a productive free time

In between work, you need to take a break. So take this time to do relaxing but productive things like eating your meal, washing the dishes, taking a walk, doing the laundry or even talking to someone.

I know that it will be more ideal to watch a movie or binge watch your favorite TV show, but you’ll have more time to do that later on.

The next thing you know is you have more time to spend doing the things you love and spend time with your family and friends.

A lot of us are too concentrated on our work that we tend to forget the most important thing in life, treating ourselves. What I learned is that we have more time to do the things we love and we tend to ignore that.

By having these habits:

  • Plan minimal work every day
  • Do the work
  • Have a productive free time

We would feel more accomplished every day and have the time for leisure.
