Whittier, Alaska

Anchorage, Alaska has been the most chill place I’ve ever been. But not until I went to Whittier.

The community

Everything I saw around me seemed like a painting and the people I encountered were either tourists or store owners.

We first went to a small café called Wild Catch Cafe and had a freshly baked muffin. The view of the small town while having breakfast was the calmest experience I ever had.

I feel like the atmosphere that the community brings will make you appreciate the beauty of a rural life.

Glacier Cruise

After stopping by the rest area, we then went on to the cruise. I had to admit, I wasn’t really into this type of cruise. But it still had its benefits.

We went on a 6-hour glacier cruise that will take you to different mountains that presents what Alaska is known for, ice.

Scenery

The scenery definitely made the Glacier Cruise worth it.

Because everything I saw was naturally made, I appreciated the view more.

Since I am also getting more into photography, my craving for a breathtaking view was satisfied.

Whittier’s calm atmosphere and breathtaking views are a definite experience.

From the community, the glaciers and the scenery, I’m very sure that you will experience the laid back side of Alaska.

So, if you want to relax and be in a quiet place, definitely check out Whittier, Alaska.
